Friend Plastic Ltd. is part of the Plasticpaint group and builds on more than four decades of experience in plastics processing, injection moulding and toolmaking. Our capabilities cover material selection, compound development, processing trials, filament and pellet production, injection moulding and material testing.

Custom polymer compound development

Standard commercial polymers do not always meet the mechanical, thermal, processing or regulatory requirements of a new product. In a custom development project, the material composition and processing behaviour can be adjusted to the intended application.

Thermal performance

Development work for applications requiring higher heat resistance or controlled crystallisation behaviour.

Toughness and impact resistance

Modification of brittle polymer systems where improved durability and resistance to dynamic loads are required.

Processing optimisation

Adjustment of flow, extrusion, moulding or printability characteristics to suit the selected manufacturing technology.

In-house development and material testing

Compound development does not end with the formulation. Processing behaviour and final product performance must be assessed through production trials and material testing.

Filanora 3D printing materials

Building on our polymer development background, we started producing our own 3D printing filaments in 2018. The Filanora portfolio includes both filaments and pellets for FGF systems, serving consumer, professional and industrial users.

Granules for FGF systems, large-format additive manufacturing, material development and industrial processing trials.
