RAJNA compound range

The RAJNA family includes PLA-based compounds developed for different injection moulding and technical applications. Product selection should always be based on part geometry, processing conditions, regulatory requirements and the required final-product performance.

Low-viscosity compound for injection moulding. Increased mould temperature can promote partial crystallisation and improve the heat resistance of suitable products. Typical development targets include cutlery, cups and plates.

Technical and compliance notice: final properties depend on drying, machine configuration, mould temperature, residence time, part geometry, colour, additives and post-processing. Food-contact, flammability, biodegradation or compostability claims must be supported by current documentation and, where required, testing of the finished product under its actual use conditions.

Frequently asked questions

What is a polymer compound?

A compound is a processing-ready plastic material in which the base polymer is combined with selected additives, fillers or reinforcing materials to achieve defined properties.

Can every RAJNA compound be used for the same product?

No. Viscosity, mechanical modification, crystallisation behaviour and special functions differ between grades. Selection must be based on the final product and processing route.

Does heat resistance depend only on the material grade?

No. For PLA-based compounds, crystallinity and heat performance can also depend on mould temperature, cycle time, geometry, cooling and post-processing.

Can a custom colour or modified property be requested?

The feasibility of a custom formulation can be assessed after the technical requirements, expected volume and required validation programme are defined.

Are biodegradability or compostability claims automatic?

No. Such claims must refer to a specific standard, test environment, formulation and finished-product geometry.
